# Establish a connection with the helmut.cloud Agent

To connect to helmut.cloud, you need an account or [Personal Access Token (PAT)](/personal-account/account-settings/security.md) that is valid for your organization.

Make sure that [the account is enabled as a target](/organizations/view-my-organizations/being-a-target.md) for the organization(s) you are working in.

Depending on the OS you are using, proceed with [MacOS and Windows](/the-helmut.cloud-agent/establish-a-connection-with-the-helmut.cloud-agent/macos-and-windows.md) or [Docker (Linux)](/the-helmut.cloud-agent/establish-a-connection-with-the-helmut.cloud-agent/docker-linux.md).
