What are organizations in helmut.cloud?

To work beyond the borders of your very own system, access, privileges and licenses are managed in organizations.

Despite the name, an organization is not necessarily depicting your real life company or team - it is simply the default structure to organize who is allowed to do what in certain environments. Workflows and workflow elements belong to organizations, not users. Therefor, it is no problem when a user leaves a team or changes their role - the data will remain in the organization.

That is why everyone has to be in an organization to do something in helmut.cloud. By default, you already have a private organization when you start with a fresh account. This "private org" is a safe space for your own ideas - it belongs to you only, and you cannot share anything from your private org with others directly.

If you want to start working with others, a (non-private or) shared organization is mandatory. The amount of users and actions that are possible with this organization depend on your license.
