# Folder Management and Space Organization

Spaces in Cosmo allow you to structure and manage your content efficiently. Folders help you keep projects organized and maintain a clear directory structure.

### 1. Creating Folders

To create a new folder and organize your Space:

1. Click the **+ New** button.
2. Select **New folder** from the menu.
3. A new folder will be created instantly.
4. Enter a name for the folder.
5. Press **Enter** (or click outside the field) to save.

### 2. Moving Assets or Folders

You can reorganize your workspace by moving assets or folders into other folders using one of the following methods:

#### 2.1 Drag & Drop

1. Select the asset or folder.
2. Drag it to the destination folder.
3. Release it to drop the item.

#### 2.2 Move Menu Option

1. Select the asset or folder.
2. Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu.
3. Choose **Move**.
4. Select the destination folder.
5. Click **Move** to confirm.

Both methods help maintain a clean and structured directory layout.

### 3. Asset & Folder Operations

Cosmo provides several management options for assets and folders.

#### 3.1 Renaming an Asset or Folder

1. Select the asset or folder.
2. Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu.
3. Choose **Rename**.
4. Enter the new name.
5. Press **Enter** or click outside the field to save.

#### 3.2 Deleting an Asset or Folder (Trash)

1. Select the asset or folder.
2. Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu.
3. Choose **Delete**.

The item is moved to **Deleted Items (Trash)**.

#### Trash Behavior

* Deleted items are **not immediately removed** from the system.
* They remain in **Trash** and can be restored during the defined retention period.

#### 3.3 Restoring Deleted Items

You can restore assets or folders:

1. Navigate to **Deleted Items**.
2. Select the asset or folder.
3. Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu.
4. Choose **Restore**.
5. Click **Confirm**.

#### 3.4 Downloading an Asset

You can download an asset using one of the available proxy options:

1. Select the asset.
2. Click the vertical three-dot (⋮) menu.
3. Choose **Download**.
4. Select one of the available proxy options.
5. The download starts automatically.
